A statement on generative AI

I dislike that we are in a place where I even need to include this statement, but here we are. Generative AI is problematic on many levels. It was trained on stolen intellectual property, is threatening our already unstable environment, it’s disrupting artistic spaces and complicating the submission/publication process. I could go on and on. Essentially, generative AI is making everything harder than it already is. I want to be clear. All my writing is 100% human created. In no way shape or form was generative AI used (nor will it ever be used) in any part of the writing process or in the promotion of my work/during other writing tasks (to the best of my knowledge.) Storytelling is fundamentally a human activity as all stories are essentially about the human condition. Humans should be writing human stories.
